| Night care / Day care Centre at Red-light Areas |

| We now have two care centers within the red- light area with attendants/teachers looking after
the kids, giving free meals, health care, elementary value education, etc. Presently, there are
45 kids each at these two centres. One centre is in the 11th lane and the other at Sindhi Gully.
Dedicated Social workers and field workers put in their best for the upliftment of the
mothers
and children. The field of work has been extended to Turbhe, Ghatkopar and Bhandup. |

| The crèche in collaboration with the Government caters to the tiny-tots of the area. |

| Family Counseling Centre and Creche |

This program had been an added blessing to the Day and Night Care Centre at Kamatipura
to guide, counsel and strengthen the Mothers and children of the area. Since it began
its operation partly aided by the Central Government of India / State Social Welfare Board
about 400 mothers were counseled in the Centre. 100 children are looked after in residence,
while 100 children from the street are given nutrition thrice in a week.

| The city of Mumbai has thousands of destitute children other than those of commercial sex
workers;
orphans, victims of various crises and tragedies like earthquakes, communal riots,
etc., who somehow
reach the streets of Mumbai and are often used by interested unsocial
elements like drug-peddlers
and other abusers of children. Navjeevan identifies such children,
and arranges day care including
health care & teaching, at Santa Cruz and Khar village where
together, we now have 50 such children
in our care. |

| Women’s Forum |

| The Women’s group is very strong having its own entity by having registered as a Mahila Mandal.
In the forum various skills are imparted for rehabilitation. A scheme to save money has been
initiated. AID’s infected mothers are taken care of. It has job bureau wing catering to the
needs of mothers who wish to be rehabilitated. |

| AIDS Awareness Services |
| |
| AIDS is rampant in the red-light areas and Navjeevan refers all identified cases for specialized
attention by AIDS care Agencies, and also helps improve awareness and/or preventive and
after
care counseling to the concerned groups. |
